Boy Trouble! Please help!!?

I really like this guy Skyler & we've technically known each other for years. I guess you can call it that? Anyway, my mom & his dad are good friends. My mom was telling me about him & his dad I ume was doing the same since when we started talking on myspace a while ago he said I had been mentioned to him a couple times before. He had a huge crush on me even though we hadn't actually met in person before. He would text me all of the time but I wasn't interested so I just ignored it. So just recently we met for the very first time in person. We started texting & he was saying how he's liked me for a very long time & I'm so pretty blah blah blah... When we hung out he was being all flirty & cuddly & sweet holding my hand & playing w/ my hair & being cute & playful & such. Then the next day he wouldn't text me. So I texted him again & he said, "Hey, I'm with my girl friend. I realized what I did last night was wrong & I just want to be friends. I'm sorry." Now that I was actually interested in him, I was so upset! I will mention that I did know he had a girl friend but he told me it wasn't working out & he wanted to break up with her. I was stupid to believe him but I just couldn't help myself. He's just so darn cute! Later on my mom & his dad got together because, according to his dad, he had mentioned me & he just thought they should get together & catch up. My mom told me later that his dad had said that skyler had liked me forever but ever since skyler lost a bunch of weight & got cute, he turned into this huge player & that I would just be another buckle on his belt or however that saying goes. He said he told skyler to stay away from me because he's afraid skyler might hurt me. But I know skyler wouldn't listen to something like that.... So he did end up breaking up w/ his girl friend the very day his dad & my mom got together. I texted him & we had a very casual conversation. The next day my friends were telling me I should just ask him to prom since he wasn't going to ask me to a prom of the school he doesn't even go to. So I texted him during school & said, "hey I know its super late but do you wanna go to prom w/ me just as friends?" Maybe I freaked him out? Idk but I thought I might as well try. So the day goes on & he doesn't reply. My friend texted him & he texted back right away but would reply to me. I was so mad! A guy friend of mine later told me I should just text him again & ask what the answer is because I have other options. I rephrased. I texted him & said, "so is that a yes or no mr. Hot shot?" He texted back & blah blah blah he told me he was busy & that's why he didn't reply (total BS!) & that he didn't want to waste his money on prom where he doesn't even know anyone. So I just accepted it & didn't text back. Now he won't talk to me at all! I was on facebook & he had put up a new pic so it showed up on my page. I was bored so I decided to comment on it. All I said was, "you got another one?" (Referring to his 2nd tattoo). He didn't say anything. Then another girl commented & said something like ohh I miss you. & he replied to her but not me! So after al of that ranting, please tell me (kindly, thank youu) what's the deal with this guy? I don't look any different in person than I do on facebook. I didn't act like a total weirdo when we hung out & I didn't act weird when we started talking before we met... Like idk... Does he think I'm a weirdo/ creeper? Why did he suddenly go from interested to not interested? I don't get it. Maybe I'm just a crazy 16 year old girl. Idkk
