Any new plant is likley to be a little wilty at first. Gardenias do like moisture and some shade - they resent full West or South sun exposures (afternoon full sun). If you have it in a dry bed or in full sun - move it to better quarters, otherwise, just baby it a little with some extra water and once the root system becomes more robust, it will stop wilting - my established Gardenia only has some yellowing when it needs an application of Iron supplement, otherwise it is a champion and quite drought tolerant.
