Why do most accelerator coasters have brakes on a hill?
I noticed a pattern in most accelerators out there. Kingda Ka, Xcelerator, StormRunner, and Maverick (if that counts as an accelerator) all have brakes on a hill or a slope, rather than a standard flat brake run. Any particular reason for this?
