Is this reaction endothermic or exothermic....?

Both sodium thiosulphate and HCl are reactive compunds and those reacting to form a reactant salt and water, two completely stable compounds, would be an exothermic reaction due to the fact that the potential energy of the instability of the reactants was turned into heat, and the reactants formed more stable products.
