Who are some famous and modern teen authors?

I need to write a research paper on an author. I need to make a list of 5 authors. Does anyone know any modern ones, like Nicholas Sparks for instance (don't tell me JK Rowling we can't use her/or Poe). I'm a teen girl so someone who would be interesting to read about but also someone who you can find research/books on.
