Which speakers for my 97 silverado?

your sepakers will work. If you currently have tweeters in your truck just make the installer wire your 6.5's. Components would sound nice. I would highly recommend you run an amp ti these speakers. These are higher wattage speakers you'll blow them (overtime) if you underpower them. i believe they are rated at 60 RMS your Pioneer is probably putting out 15-18 RMS
